MTN Nigeria has a special data package for their subscribers called the Smart Data plan, today I am going to tell you more about the data package and how you can subscribe to it without stress. MTN Smart Data is designed to offer you the best daily, weekly, and monthly data plans that are more affordable and sustainable.
I never knew anything about MTN Smart Data until a few days ago when I got a message from MTN about the offer and I followed their instructions to find out more which I will be sharing with you on this page.
What is MTN Smart Data?
Mtn Smart Data is a special data offer that allows you to browse the internet, and download and upload files on the internet. However, smart data is just like every other data plan, the difference is the affordability and easy access to the data offered.

Smart Data Daily offer
The daily data plan lasts for 24 hours starting from when you activate the data plan on your phone. However, there are two data offers available on smart data daily offers which are as follows:
- N300 for 1.5GB
- N400 for 2GB
Smart Data Weekly offer
If you need to subscribe to a data package that will give you access for 7 days then consider going for the weekly offer. Below are the offers available when I checked.
- N2,000 for 11GB
- N3,000 for 13GB
14 Days Smart Data offer
You can get a data offer that can last for 2 weeks when you choose the Smart Data 14-day data offer from the list and below is what you will get.
- N4,000 for 18GB
- N7,000 for 35GB
Monthly MTN Smart data offer
Last but not least is the MTN monthly smart data offer which is designed to last for 30 days from the date you subscribed. You will also get more data that can keep you connected always.
- N5000 for 27GB
- N6,000 for 34GB

let me go straight to the point, pick your phone and dial *121# you will see an open box where you are supposed to write something below the menu.
Type 4 and send, you will now see options such as:
- 1 Day Offer
- 7 Days Offer
- 14 Days Offer
- 30 Days Offer
Check each of them out and decide on the one that is more affordable and suitable for you. Select and send the number of your chosen plan and enjoy yourself.

There is no special code that you can use to share smartdata, however, you can try regular mtn sharing code ” *312*Phone number*Data amount#” or share using MYMTN App

Works 24/7 but when you have issues connecting try and activate your phone flight mode and deactivate it couple of times untill the data start workingg

Is this smart data not shared into day and night? Because sometimes you will still have data and you wouldn’t be able to browse but at night you can use YouTube
There are some MTN Data plans that comes with Youtube night offer but the Smart data is different, it works all day and night as long as you still have data on your phone and you are within the validity period.
Does this Smart data plan work in Facebook, WhatsApp, chrome and opera mini?
Yes, it’s all data plan, you can use it to do everything
My weekly smartdata will expire a day time and I subscribe to monthly plan,will the weekly still expired
I am not sure about that, it might be extended but since it’s not the same plan it might not be extended as well.

The data balance is displayed in GB not MB, you will see 25GB not 25,000MB

No, activate your flight mode and deactivate couple of times untill the network start working, it happens that way most time even in other networks

If you are still within the validity period you use the data but if you are having connection issue then use your phone flight mode to reset your network by activating and deactivating the flight mode

Yes, you can use your smartphone to connect other devices as long as you have active data plan.
Why MTN keep increasing the amount on monthly basis, if you buy smart data for ₦11000 next month there’ll be higher option like ₦16000 next ₦20000 so on
